I have a much loved computer game called Total Annihilation which used to run on Windows 98.

Now I have XP It does not install properly and comes up with an error message
"objects3d\armmhmsl.3do (or 0)"

Can this be remidied?

Can anyone out there help me...........THis was the toppist game of all time

think it is a problem with directx. your best be might be to get a vmware / virtual pc and create an win 98 / me image just for playing the game on.

If it is that good it'll be worth the effort

the trickiest part might be getting hold of an install disk for windows 98.
if you can get it then either download virtual pc or vmware server (both free)

then you basically install the operating system into one of these which will run on top of windows xp.
