Hello there, I have a Lloyds credit card which I have had for a while now, just barely paying the minimum payment, I finally faced up to the fact its got to be paid and cleared a fair amount of the money I owed.
I hadnt used the credit card for a good year or so and didnt even realise it was out of date (it ran out in 09) I rang the bank and I was told that the card had been deactivated so one would be ordered again. I am planning to clear the amount owed, but keep the card for a 'rainy day'
I moniter my accounts online quite regularly and since this phone call my credit card account has completely disapeared from my account 'dashboard' and when I click on 'make a transfer' from my current account, which is what I normally do to pay, the credit card is not showing on the drop down list. Its vanished into thin air!
Im not sure what to do, has anyone ever seen this before? What I am scared amount is if they have accidently shut it down and try to reclaim the money from my current account, would they be allowed to do this?
Can anyone help me please?!!

aa ok, cheers for that, was it your whole credit account that was deactivated or just the card? I wasn't too sure if the account was classed as deactivated if the card was out of date.
Thanks for your help!0 -

ok, i understand now... took a while though
think it confused me because the cards been expired for over a year now but I have always been able to view it, guess its just because theyve only just realised they never sent me a new one and are updating the system.
thanks again!!0
