Can i claim back bank charges from a closed bank account ?

Don't see why not. Some banks are actually telling customers who are claiming that they will settle their claim with conditions attached, one of those conditions is that they close their account. So you may want to set up a parachute account (your safety net incase this happens to you). You can claim charges going back 6 years on your accounts.

I think you can claim from a closed account within the past 6 years-and also unfair credit card charges too.
The consumer action group site is vast-but do read the FAQ's and trawl through the forums,use the Libary as it is excellent and very friendly too-they are all in the same boat there.
Remember if it goes to Court (or more likely that they settle at the door) you must apply 8% interest on top of your charges-you are entitled to do this.
