I wonder if they would honour the order if you paid for delivery then? Would still be a saving on buying instore. Might try that if my order gets cancelled.

I was thinking the same ,,although once you have used the code you may not be able to use it again,so would mean setting up new account.
  • I paid for 3 orders 2 on my account and 1 on partners, used welcome1 & 2 on my account for 2 seperate orders and welcome 1 on partners account, paid via paypal and all mine are still saying being packed at warehouse.
no email to cancel or refund (yet)

  • I placed 1 order this morning using the welcome2 code and the free delivery.
My order status has changed from order being sent to warehouse to order being picked at warehouse.
However, after reading through this thread i think it is a case of when not if i get a cancellation email. :(
  • Looks like Evans don't honour glitches , same thing seems to have happened with a Woolworths one ... I LOVE Asos thats all I can say!!
  • Its bad I know, but the companies that do honour glitches are the ones I regularly shop with now and the ones that dont, tend not to get my custom again. I think ASOS are brilliant and I will be buying plenty more from them over the next few weeks as their service is fantastic. Pah to Evans lol

  • Firstly - many thanks to the OP for sharing.
I haven't had the cancellation email yet, but guess it's probably on the way - never mind!
I agree totally with Savvybunny2009 though - I certainly favour companies that honour glitches - it says volumes about their Customer Service.
I know we shouldn't be too disappointed if a glitch doesn't work for us, BUT if a company doesn't want you to use more than 1 discount/free delivery code per transaction, it isn't exactly rocket science to programme that into their 'Checkout' software. I hope, at least, Evans learn the lesson from this & update their software so it will only accept 1 code - plenty of other online retailers manage to do it. I know it states that in their T & C's, but it isn't good Marketing or Customer Service practice to expect a customer to read through all of those before making a purchase. You do assume that if the Checkout process lets you do it - it's OK to do it!
Afterall, I liken it to going into Tesco (for example) & at the till it scans an item at 'x', but then they point to a load of T & C's & say actually you can't have it for that - not usually the case is it?
