have hardly been on here last few weeks... too busy planning for wedding & christmas!
a few good developments - both wedding rings are now ready, spoken to friend re bouquets and thats sorted, final numbers submitted to venue (table planning on 27th/28th!), bought table favours (green & blacks miniatures) visited venue with photographer, Mum has made the cake, OH has got suit tie & shirt... Feel like we're really getting there and all the pending jobs are manageable! Now just fretting about the weather - the most important thing being my sisters flight in from Australia, which gets in one week before. Hope all your planning is going well x

    Hi everyone :D

Glad your planning is coming along well, fran-o! We've been trying to get most stuff sorted before Christmas, paying off balances, I had two hair trials, had another meeting with the florist, etc.

I've still got to get bags for the favours, two pairs of socks for the ushers and sort gifts for mine and OH's mums. Don't really want to go down the 'big bunch of flowers' route as don't want to spend £40 on something that will die two weeks later but am having trouble thinking of something else!

Good luck to Nickie, aka missmidwife, for your wedding tomorrow!!

Only two weeks left for fran-o and myself now!! I've only got 6 more days at work, and still got a few bits to do, but nothing too major so hopefully it'll all be fine!! :D

    woooohooo!
good luck ladies, we're nearly there! I'm at work til 12th then two days for picking up cake, dress, getting manicure etc.
am feeing quite stressed out by it all to be honest - not good! Main issue is OH going abroad on business on Tues 4th - Mon 10th so am nervous about things popping up and having to deal with them on my own. Also Best man is a total headache! We have offered to hire him a suit, he chose to buy it, but not yet....!
Most things are done though, struggled with the seating plans today (surnames of cousins OHs etc) but getting through the lists of suppliers to confirm (DJ, florist etc) and on top of all the big stuff.
sometimes I wish we were having a small quiet one but I know i will be so pleased on the day when we are celebrating with all our friends and family! And I cannot wait til our honeymoon!!!!!!!
PS - how was your hen do 4nnabella?

    Hi everyone!

One week to go! I've had a bit of a nightmare today as the organza bags I ordered for our goody bag favours turned up but they're too small! Was really looking forward to sitting down tonight with a glass of wine and making up 70 favour bags but it is not to be :( I have found some more on eBay and paid extra for super fast delivery so hopefully they will be sent tomorrow and will turn up on Monday! I'm now just sat firing off emails to everyone and his brother confirming things.

fran-o I hope you are coping with your OH away! We are having the same issue with our best man and suit as you! He bought it today though, so all is well. OH still needs to get a shirt, but he is off into town tomorrow to get his hair cut and find a shirt. I've had my hair trimmed and coloured today, and am having my nails done next Wednesday. Am glad your sister and niece got here safely! We have friends coming over from Australia too, they are arriving on Sunday.

My hen-do part one was great thanks, the day at the spa was fab! It seems ages ago now though, as it was the beginning of October! We had to do it early as my sister-in-law was nearly 8 months pregnant so we had to have it before it was too late! She has now had my little nephew, on 1st December. My hen-do part two is tomorrow! We're going to go to one of those places where fish nibble on your feet, and then go out for some drinks, so should be a good day!

We'll be heading down to my parents on Thursday and I've got a list as long as my arm of all the stuff I need to remember to take with me! I've had to start putting stuff in my suitcase when I think of it as well, as I am sooooo worried that I am going to forget something, and the men won't have their ties, or we won't have our candles, or something. I think these last few days might just about kill me!

    Hi

Hope the hen do is going well 4nnabella! Fish feet!!! Sounds mad but fun!
I went with my Mum to the local cake shop today to buy some sparkly cake toppers and a big ribbon. She has made a small fruit cake to go on top of tiers of M&S mini cupcakes, we just needed some good decor!
Then I went to the high street dept store for some makeup advice & shopping. I never got organised to have my make up done next week, but just had a makeover with Estee Lauder, bought some good foundation, got some new ideas and feeling more confident about doing my own makeup! Have spent a fortune though!!!
OH is in Texas with work (4th - 10th Jan) which has been difficult - I've not had LOTS to do this week, but it has been stressful on my own, I've been missing him and sleeping badly, and with my sister & niece flying in, its been pretty emotional too! I managed to keep it together all week, but ended up in tears at work Friday! Thankfully I work with a nice bunch and they sent me home earlier than usual!
Tonight one of my best friends is popping over for dinner and tomorrow I'm shopping with my sister who needs a wrap/ cardigan to go with her bridesmaids dress.

    This time next week!!!!!!!!!!

    At least he's back tomorrow fran-o :)

Hen day has been good! The whole fish feet nibbling thing was bizarre! Really weird feeling but I now have soft feet! :D We went round a few places for drinks but then I had to go to a birthday party. So have been drinking since about 3pm... :rotfl:
