My 2004 passat is in need of some new boots,I can get a good deal on 4 Yokohama a drive or c drive.
Anyone got any experience of Yokohama Tyres and if so out of a drive and c drive which are the best all rounder?

Yoko C drive, marketed as touring tyre's but god they were the best tyre's ive ever used on my old 2 litre 306. I used Bridgestone RE's, Michelins and Avon ZV3's.... But for grip the Yoko C drive was just amazing!
They're soooooo soft, on a hot day you'll find little stones and tarmac melted into the tyre.... Somewhat reminiscent of touring the paddock area when the F1 or GT cars are racing at Donnington.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

My experiences of Yokos are that they are a soft tyre which give immense dry grip but with heavy wear. I never really saw more than 10k from a set. The only problem is that in the UK we have more wet/damp climate and as such I prefer my tyres to be better in the wet. In the dry most tyres, even the budget ones, are within a few % points of each other. In the wet the disparity between the best wets and worst wets is huge. The man without a signature.0

What sort of mileage did they do and were they any good in the wet?
Thanks both for input.

Sounds good to me, I have heard of prices like £40 for fitting (£10 a rim!)
Cash in hand is what all these garages want, although some will refuse due to Tax reasons.
You got yourself a good price there, as obviously changing wheels on rims is not a DIY job0 -

The money does not go to garage straight in lads pocket that's why I go on Sunday morning.
I dare say if through books it prob would be £10 a corner.0
