few ipod touch questions

after a ipod touch but have a few questions

is it worth the extra money to get a 4g instead of a 3g?

is there much difference between the 2?

is the memory (16G, 32G or 64G) expandable?

Do you have to upload videos/films to it through iTunes? and in what format?

No doubt I'll be pestering you lot with more soon

what format would video clips/films need to be on? I got load of films on my laptop i play through VLC player, think they're saved as MPEG tho, will these go straight onto a ipod touch?
