Hi guys, :D

Does anyone know how I can watch a dvd-rw on my laptop?

I wanted to record something from the tv to watch later, but firstly the dvd recorder didn't like the normal dvd-r, so i had to use a dvd-rw. But now I can't watch the dvd-rw on my laptop, it just says it's a blank disc !!!!

Any help would be appreciated :)

You may have to finalise the dvd on the recorder before the pc can read it. I assume the recorder can play it?

yes, i can watch the disc on a normal dvd player, but just not my laptop :(

If I finalise the dvd, does that mean I can't use it to record on again as it's supposed to be dvd-RW ... ?

You can't use it again until it's been formatted- then you can.

You can probably copy the disc to DVD -R or R+ from the RW .
It could be that the laptop is having trouble with the codec used rather than the disc . What format does the recorder use .
