Basic Bank Account with a Debit Card
Comments
-
Alongside my current account I have a basic santander account which I have an electronic only Visa Debit, I was under the impression this worked exactly the same as the old Visa Electron I had in the fact that it would only authorise if the funds were available.
Either one of the visa debit cards with santander will put you overdrawn even the electronic use only.
The only difference with the 2 is, with the electronic use only card they are WILLINGLY authorising the transaction and pushing it through so you DO go overdrawn so they can make some money.
As i've said before its nothing to do with the type of card its to do with their overdraft policy and its all explained in the terms and conditions.0
