It works and checking online at my account she had 200 min and 3000 tx. Well she had but not now. Teenager hard at work using them up!!! Just got to remember to top up every month.
Thats good ,glad you got it ok .Yes i would strongly advise to top up in time,at sometime in the future i'm sure these old bundles will be removed they wont be able to be readded again. As long as you top up in time you will be ok.0 -
I recently put my daughter on a 30 day rolling contract similar to yours where she gets 3000 texts 3000 virgin to virgin mobile calls and 200 voice minutes for £10 per month paid by DD Would this suit you?0

Have a look here for better value deals. 30 day contract and the £10 deal even includes 500mb data!0 -
Jeff Bridges I apologise, I was mistaken. The relative who gave me the phone was on the Vodafone network. The phone is a Sony Ericsson. I don't recall as it was two/three years ago but I presume he had it unlocked for me.
onejontwo texts don't really interest me, I'd just like the 300 mins back, but as I said, Virgin will only offer me 200 for £8.50.
jb66 with the greatest respect I wouldn't give Tesco the time of day, let alone my money, for reasons I won't go into.
The best deal I can see is with 02. They offer 300 mins and unlimited texts (those infernal texts again!) for £10, and I understand their network coverage is one of the best.
I'll keep looking but I really don't think I'll get a better deal. Thanks for all your suggestions.0 -
Interesting info, I'm tempted to "pretend" to cancel my contract and see if they offer a better deal
"No likey no need to hit thanks button!":pHowever its always nice to be thanked if you feel mine and other people's posts here offer great advice:D So hit the button if you likey:rotfl:0 -
If you're not interested in tesco, Asda do a PAYG which is only 8p a min and 4p a text. This would only be £5 on your usage.0

Simon11, I believe some people have tried but be careful as I've heard that some have had their contracts stopped. You have to weigh up whether it's worth losing what you have and having to find another provider. I didn't try to wangle anything more from Virgin, just reinstate what I originally had, and had I known I'd be in the position I am now I'd have left well alone.
maginot, sorry my maths must be appalling as I cant work out how 300 mins at 8p/min comes to only £5. If it did I'd be waiting outside the door of Asda first thing in the morning

Hi Sparrer
I Know you have 300 mins/300 text currently, but you stated "I don't use more that 60 mins/20 texts a month I thought I'd cancel and switch to payg"
This comes to approx £5 a month on this deal.
60*8=£4.80
20*4=£0.800
