Tax credits - GF has new job, what details do they need?

I need to write to the tax credit office informing them that my partner is no longer on JSA and is working. What detail do they need from me exactly? I presume they need more than just the working hours, job role/location, and salary?

  • Hi,

Tax credits will need your partners employers tax reference number, it will be something like AB12/3456. If you don't have this, they will need the full address of the companies payroll (including postcode)

They will also need and updated estimate of income (over estimate to prevent overpayment)
