PPI reclaiming

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question. I am going to reclaim from Clydesdale for my girlfriend. How long do they generally take to get back to us? Also has anyone tried to reclain from them before?

Also, I notice people saying about capital one cards or egg cards etc how do you know if you had ppi?

thanks for any answers.

regards

andrew

    Hi Andrew

The template letters was removed, and in replacement a reclaiming questionnaire have been added.
However, if you do prefer to write a letter, its best to do so in your own words, its more personal, where banks/companies were so used to receiving the same template letters, and there is better success if you do your own with your reasons you have.

The questionnaire is on the link below, remember to keep copies of all you send and receive - in case you need to refer to it at some point, or make a complaint to the FOS.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for all this Di,

I have claimed some money from my own bank and at the end of the day you can't lose, so she has paid nearly £700 over the course of the loan, and with Xmas coming that would be really handy :j.

    Thanks

    1 last question,

The loan has been paid and is now off the system of online banking, do I need to put the reference number on it?

If I do can I just phone them and get it?

    Regards

    Hi Andrew

You can write the ref account number that is fine and you then post to the head office, if you can post by recorded delivery, keep a check on the 8 weeks they have, good luck.

  • Hi Andrew,

I have reclaimed from the Clydesdale bank using a claims firm and it has taken 15 months!!!!!

I have received a letter saying that they have agreed to make an offer, so I just need to sign the paperwork and send it back.

    Good luck
