Yes, you are right, you seem to get one point for reading an article on the site. Will take quite a few 'page refreshes' to get enough to enter a few comps but I guess if you are determined to enter.....:D

I would add, that if you want to do a more convincing points build up, there are automated tools made for software testing (you can get free trials) where you can record your movements around a website and then playback on a loop (even slecting a variety of inputs so its not the same each time

That being said, as with mine above it appears the simple script working !
