NetMeter query

Approximately every 15 seconds a spike appears on my NetMeter display when I use this site, this happens even though I don't use the mouse to click on anything. It takes me a minute or so to read a screen in which time 3 or 4 spikes have moved across the NetMeter screen.
It doesn't happen on any other sites that I use, does anybody else experience this ?

If you download SysInternal's TCPView from Microsoft's site you'll be able to see all your network connections, as well as how much data they are transmitting and receiving.
