Pay a CC with a CC?

Dumb question I know, i'm with Santander under the 'Paypal' guise and I am due a refund of £240 on my Capital One card (putting me into the black by £248 in total).

Can I simply pay my Santander bill with my Capital One card?

Is this a monumentally stupid question?

On that amount you could try a balance transfer for a small fee.

I would ask capital one for a cheque or bacs transfer for the credit balance - that would be fee free

A BT should be fee free, as long as it is not on a promo rate.
  • So I can't simply give them my CC number and expiry etc and pay it that way?
