I am just starting back to work after being on ESA. I have been told I will be ebtitled to working tax credit, how long will I get this for? thanks for any advice

  • I do not have any dependent children, I get the credit apparently as I have been on ESA for over 6 months and I am over 50. I will be working approx 20 hrs a week, So will I continue to get it indefinately as long as I am within the working hours criteria? thanks for any help

if you dont qualify for the disability element then you need to work at least 30 hours a week, or you could qualify for the 50+ element but that is only payable for 1 year and I think they are getting rid of that from the start of the new tax year, try looking on the HMRC website for more specific info.
