I would post it. You have not said when it sold though.0

There have been a couple of posts on here recently about sellers not getting the sold email, I then rush off to check my amazon account just in case...
I think that when we signed up as sellers we are supposed to log on each day & check our accounts.
You say that you may not be able to post until Monday, if you can't get to the post office tomorrow, it would be a good idea to get someone else to. I think that you can send messages via amazon, so I would also email & grovel to the buyer.0 -
it sold on monday, i have sent email to buyer basically saying what happened and asking if they still want it and saying i will send first class monday. If i send on monday will i still get my money or could i end up loosing that, will amazon refund customer? thanks0

Firstly, you aren't the first person to have had this happen to them. By now, Amazon must be aware that this is an issue.
Bearing this in mind, is there something to be gained from contacting Amazon and requesting that they additionally send the buyer an email, explaining that the original email failed to be actioned by them?
Most likely they won't want to know or admit they caused the error, but it might be worth a try. Has anyone else affected tried this?"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Emails from large internet marketplaces are notoriously glitchy - this happens a lot with eBay too.
Although it's too late for this situation, you need to make sure you keep an eye on your account page.
I log into eBay all the time - keep myself logged in - when I'm selling something, I have never relied purely on emails because I know they don't often arrive the moment they are supposed to."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Just another point re these (it may not apply in this case)
Amazon do not send you the order until they have taken their payment, if the customer card had expired etc, then it may have taken them a few days to get the payment and send the order to you..which is all well and fine BUT,...it will show as late, as it will show the initial transaction date as order date, NOT their payment date. An easy way to check this is to see what the difference is between order date and expected ship date is. if this is a large gap, then you know they had a problem.
We recently had one that showed late, when the order was 10 days prior, we contacted the csutomer, who said they had just noticed the email from Amazon telling them to update their info..
(Amazon are also a pain for letting people leave stuff in their basket, and even though you end the item as you have sold out, if a customer decides 2-3 weeks later they want it and check out...they can do, meaning you have to explain to customer why you do not have the item any longer )0 -
the buyer has said they still want it and asked to post to a different address? I know on ebay you shouldnt do this, is it the same on amazon? thanks0

They can upload it to their account details so ask them to do that."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
