Hi there guys
Ive had my benefits of housing benefits and jobseekers paid since September. And now I have found a job which is great! But however, the payday isn't until the end of next month and I certainly do not have the money to pay rent or anything to live on until then.
Would it be really bad to keep claiming benefits up until the day I get paid?

I know it's not really that great but I have no idea how else to pay the rent which is needed next week. I have no savings or other people to borrow money off. So how can I pay the rent if I shouldn't be claiming benefits?0

You pay next weeks rent with the HB that you will get. Have you even been in touch with the JCP about what help you can get?I know it's not really that great but I have no idea how else to pay the rent which is needed next week. When DWP and the LA find out (and they will) you may be prosecuted for fraud. If that happens you'll probably lose your job.
Is it worth it?
Make some calls, found out what help they can provide to see you though to pay day. Maybe ask the employer if you could be paid weekly / fortnightly for the first month?0
