This may not be suitable for you if there are no children about but may give someone else an idea - pencil pots!
Either use small pots or cut normal size in half. Cover outside with paper and then decorate with whatever you fancy (coloured tissue, string, wool, ribbon etc). Cover cut end with masking tape and colour it or ribbon or foil or..... let your imagination run away with you!
The children at the school where I work made these, a perfect present for Dad, Grandma, auntie, sister .......etc!0 -

Not sure about what to put in them, but if you want to reuse them they make excellent moulds for melt and pour soaps. Pour in melted soap base, wait til hardened, then peel off can and slice soaps into rounds. Can also put a loofah in before pouring soap and slicing for a great exfoliator:D0

You could turn them into craft tube filling each one with items for knitting, sewing, embroidery, drawing, writing (calligraphy), cookie cutters and recipes, small hobby enamel paints (for airfix model enthusiasts) or any other craft the recipient is into or you think they would like to try.:wave:Pucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0
