My Virgin money CC have just added a £12 fee for a DD not working even though a new one was set up (and acknowdedged) and the balance due was zero anyway! Is this wierd? Typically, they are "experiencing high call volumes" so incredibily frustrating to try and sort out.

Similar happened to my g/f with her MBNA card (MBNA also run Virgin cards), she was on the phone this morning to them and they refunded it straight away no problems.
