yes it's weird it isn't online for Tesco. Another thing about Tesco is my mum buys T's own brand soya milk 24 at a time as she lives out in the sticks. They tell her she can't have more than 4. So she orders it in specially, and then they sometimes still don't have 24 for her. Lost count of the number of arguments she's had in Bury st Edmunds Tesco about it.

They have stopped selling Dorsets porridge oats in sachets. An expensive luxary I know but I get through less this way and find it easier to watch my weight! I will be shopping at Waitrose for this from now on. V. annoyed at Tesco as they were always out of stock when I'd try to get it and would always tell me "it goes as soon as its put in the shelves..." yet they decide to pull it from the shelves??
  • I get my tahini from Mr T.
I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 2010

Can sort of see your point but just buy ordinary oats (we get the value ones) and they do make deliciously creamy podge :)

  • We've also got Tahini paste in Tesco. We've 2 Tescos here, and if we go to the "other" one, they have a fabulous array of "exotic" foodstuffs and we wander round saying "wow..."

That's when our shopping costs more lol and we go "off menu-plan" for the week... :o

  • I've never found fresh chard in my large local Tesco (except in those salad bag mixes)

See I used to do that, but I now have the Dorsets ones as they are JUMBO sized oats. I'd buy the box but I know from past experience I can measure a little too much into the bowl...so hard to stop! I now get them in sachets and spend the same amount just because its not so easy for me to pour out too much or snack here and there when I otherwise would not! It was crazy how much I used to have an had to limit every other food I ate as a result or I'd have become air balloon sized!

The Oats-So-Simple were just too smooth- I like to bite my food rather then just swallow it! I neeeeed it measured out for me or I do eat too much, it was about 3 years of battling with this before I gave up. I used to easily eat 50g per breakfast and then probably double that throughout the day just snacking.

Think its just one store- went into another Tesco and they seem to have more of it in now and more varieties. Far better taste then the value stuff, far better consistancy but then I guess its what your taste buds are into.

Same for me, my local T's used to have fresh stuff but not anymore, however l've managed to find some 'minced' in a jar from Morrisons.

Tamarind paste was hard to find but l found that in a larger T's this weekend :T

    Happy moneysaving all.
