Firefox wont allow pdf files to open

I cant get firefox to let pdf files display in adobe.
With IE the pdf files would just open up automatically.
any ideas ?

you need to download acrobat reader from here

Ive already got acrobat reader.

try reinstalling it via the link on the firefox site

If you have a pdf file on your computer right click it, go to properties, find "open with", click on change, a new window will open, find adobe and highlight it, click ok. pdf files should then open with firefox.

Tried that and it still dont work from out of firefox.
I can save pdf files, when I click on them directly they open ok with acrobat reader.
When I click on a pdf file in firefox, I get a message in the corner saying 'done' i.e the page has finished loading, but the file doent open in acrobat automatically.

I had the same problem, install PDF download from the firefox extensions site. Then when you click on a PDF it'll give you the option to view it as HTML, PDF or save it.
