That would be telling. I shall sleep naked in a park somewhere, but that's my business...
Oh dear - can't do that either demand for parks will be to high
Also the naked bit will increase the cost of policing and all our taxes will go up again :mad:0 -

Even sitting in a corner weeping will drive up the price of tears. Can't win.

Sorry to hear your story OP, the moral of the story to everybody is never make a decision under pressure, as someone else has already said if they can make the offer today, they can make the offer tomorrow.
Don't know anything about your legal rights but I should imagine that a personal visit rather than a letter may apply some pressure on the company in question. (and I don't mean MAFIA sense either!)0 -
Sales tactics,that's what you have fallen for ,whether it is for time share or double glazing ,never allow them to put you into a deadline situation,you do not want anything that much.Also do not reveal to a seller that you are unsure.The lesson you have learnt will serve you for the rest of your life and save you thousandsTo be happy you need to make someone happy.0

Assuming they are going by standard terms and conditions, what they have done is completely legal. Unfortunately, it is just a lesson to learn from. Sorry x
On another note, can people stop taking this thread off topic please? It's not fair on the OP.Gone ... or have I?0 -

LOL, Thanks for all your replies :T Sorry for the delay in getting back here - busy weekend, kids etc say no more!
I will have to take it on the chin I suppose. I have a contact in the developers head office who tried to help but to no avail. Its just a bit sickening what with Christmas coming up..
Legally, I don't have a leg to stand on but morally you could argue that they are money grabbing *******'s (fill in the space yourself), preying on the naive and vulnerable - BUT NOT IN FUTURE..:cool:
As for house prices - is it just me or has the re-adjustment started? I know a lot of sellers in my area are accepting an almost 10% drop off just to get rid and move on. Those sticking to their guns seem to be on Rightmove for ever. Keep up the pressure and stick on those low offers. As long as we all do it, there will be no option but to sell for less...or should I say for a 'realistic' price...:rolleyes:
I am tired with viewing 3 bed houses with a third bedroom you can't get a cot in or with a non-existent dining room. Where are all the resonably priced 3 bed houses that can actually accomodate a 2+2 family? (Cue Kirsty Allsop
)
Anyway, thanks again for your replies - much appreciated.0
