Wrong. This forum is dedicated to saving people money on things they are about to buy, not for people like you to justify why you paid more than you should have done. As someone looking to buy a house, I am only interested in what happens to prices in the future, not what you paid for yours. It's a bit like you encouraging me to buy cornflakes at the price you paid last week when there is a 2 for 1 offer on next week. End of story, really.

Interesting, and what do you do in the meantime ... Starve yourself and damage your health to gain 50p, decisions like that don't make sense, now if your talking about some film for your camera, then id understand, but everyone needs a HOME and FOOD, but luxuries... not so much of course, so you can put off those purchases?

I had the same discussion with a friend of mine, we talked about house ownership, and he said, ill never be able to buy. I questioned this, and explained a few things to him.

The way he see's it, he has had a child now, he wants stability.

He will stop buying gadgets, that last year alone set him back nearly 3k, he will save as much as possible, and in 6 months they will already be in a position to buy, on top of savings they already have!

in 6 months they will be able to purchase and there is nothing to stop them looking now!

    2) Make healthy savings, spend wisely (Doing)
    3) Ensure healthy pension fund - (Doing)
    4) Ensure house is nice, suitable, safe, and located - (Done)
    5) Keep everyone happy, healthy and entertained (Done, Doing, Going to do)
