Pension Credit and Stopping Work ?

Thanks for reading !
Basically I get Pension Credit which tops up my O/H`s Part time income , she may have to stop working , for good , because of health problems .
Question is , Will my pension credit be increased ? do i have to send an application again ? when should we inform the DWP about the possible change in circumstances ?
Any advice appreciated
Regards
CB

yes the Pension credit would increase, you would have to send in your partners last wage slip and confirmation that that she has stopped work ie p45 or letter confirming the stoppage and if the information is recevied within 4 weeks of it happening then it would get back dated to the time that it happened, anytime after that and it is only from the date they recevie the information.

    Thanks for the info !
Would we have to have a Doctors report about the illness enclosed with the P45 ?
    Thanks

As she has health problems, find out if she may be entitled to any other benefits - DLA or AA depending on her age.
