Business Phone Line

We are moving BUSINESS premises and need to have 5 phone lines installed, I know there are 4 BT phone lines already going into the new premises but BT say they are still being paid by the previous tenent so are unavailable and we must have 5 new lines at £129 +VAT each installed.

I know others can install new lines but we need to keep and transfer the business phone numbers from the old BT lines to the new premises and new lines, it seems BT has the monopoly on this?

Is there any other provider who can put in the new lines and get us our original BT phone numbers onto these five new lines?

  • Yes, Xlntelecom done it for a company I worked for last year. They charged for the phonelines and it was a BT installer who installed then. Also their charges are way lower than BT. Do google search for xlntelecom

    bigbill,

Try and get in contact with the previous tenant, and ask them when they will be cancelling their phonelines, as you will not be responsible for the calls that will be made on them, might make them hurry up, and then you can take over the existing lines, and get one extra freshly installed.

An alternative might be to port your numbers that you cannot lose to a VOIP provider which will give you much more flexibility if you have to move in the future.

    Cheers, Des.

    Thanks folks

Sorry about the delay been away for a few weeks.

Sadly the previous occupier was the local council, they are in no hurry to sort it out, quite happy to pay our money on 4 lines they have not used for years.
