Hi,
I recently purchased and downloaded some software. I received the software but after reviewing it I am of the opinion it is not any good - it does what it said it would but after using it I think it is not very good! Is there any course for a refund. I am aware if I bought something online I have the option to return it for a refund but not sure how this applies to electronic downloads.
I guess I am stuck!

No. In the OFT Guidelines to business on DSR, downloaded software, music, ebooks etc where there are no physical goods are classed as services and are therefore exempt from Distance Selling Regulations.
For future reference, any physical software you've bought online and have unsealed is also exempt from DSR.0 -

I think you mean "after using it"
You could contact he company and say that you would like your money back but to be honest I think they will tell you where to get off.
