Does any one know of any courses i can do that are free or funded? Im a single mum reciving benefits , my child goes to nursery twice a week but due to a disability usually attends once a week and some times none.
Iv tried courses based on the internet but i struggled and need some face to face interaction.
I did ask at the job centre but he said there was nothing. Id like to learn and more be confident for when my childs ready for full time nursery or her disability improves. So finding a job would be easier.
Does any one have any ideas?
Thank you

Hello
How about the open university. They do short courses, long courses. They do them at all sorts of levels too.
You can get financial support directly, or through the ILA route I beleive.
They offer on line support/forums which are really good. Certain courses have face to face tutorials too. You also get access to learning support for help.
Good luck0 -
have you tried to write your mp? sometimes that works...0

Do you have any Surestart Centres or Children's Centres near by? Maybe contact the council and they would be able to advise you.
Where I live, there are Adult Skills Clubs run and if you are referred through certain organisations they can sometimes help provide childcare free of charge too.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

In my area, community centres run lots of different courses, including maths and English. Most courses are free. Ask your council where there are adult community learning courses (some are also in libraries, Surestart centres, church halls, etc, so it would save time asking the council).
You could also see if anywhere locally offers NOCN courses, or google your town +free courses and see what results are thrown up.0
