More than expected

Hi there

I have been using an agency to reclaim ppi charges. I was told that i had been succesful a couple of weeks ago and that i would be getting 2 bank transfers from my old bank.

The other day a deposit for quite a bit more than i was told i was getting landed in my account. The 2 transfers havent arrived yet.

I had a credit card etc with this bank years ago which i had some trouble with but which i cleared eventually.

Is it possible that charges from this card have been settled as well even though i havent asked for them.

Apols if this is a stupid question

Have the bank made a mistake & will they want the money back?

Well done to you.:beer:
Have a letter arrived to confirm the payment going into your account yet?
Maybe the extra interest perhaps??

Hopefully someone will know more on this and will post up with what they think.

Normally you would receive a letter to confirm the amounts paid into your account, so maybe this just not arrived yet.;)

the only corres i have is to tell me that i would be getting the money i was expecting to get.

Maybe your agency who you used would know? Did you complain about this settled card yourself or the did the company take it upon their selves to do it perhaps although I would think that they would have to ask you if you had been missold first and ask for your reasons?

I have not mentioned anything other than the ppi i have been told i am being refunded.

I am assuming that my old bank have made an admin error with the payment. I asked my current bank and they said it was a bacs payment from my old bank. I am assuming they will realise they have made a mistake and ask for it back.

Would be great if they didnt though.
