i hope someone can help me
i have a video which i am putting onto dvd ( just a straight conversion)
but i need to email the finished file to someone
my question is what file format is best to change it to and how do i go about it?
obv id likr to do it as cheap as poss so if any one can recomend a goo prog id be well pleased

Converting a dvd movie into a video file such as avi,wmv. This all depends on the length of dvd. If only short and under 10Meg in filesize then you probably will be able to email it , but remember it will take sometime to download on slower internet connection.
Maybe it would be easier just to snail mail a copy of the dvd?

after I transferred my vhs to dvd I chosse one or 2 bits and sent it via https://www.photobucket.com to my son. I dont know what the limit is though but wouldnt have thought you could do more than a few minutes.0

Why aren't you sure of the length of the DVD?
Anyway, you'll need a DVD ripper, such as the one shown above, or; http://www.magicdvdripper.com/dvd-ripper.htm
You can use the utility to compress the video to MPEG1, MPEG2 or MPEG4(DivX/XviD) to make the file smaller and therefore quicker to upload.

i didnt know the length as i hadnt edited it from video to dvd
its about 20 mins which may take a while to send
