Converting a dvd movie into a video file such as avi, wmv. This all depends on the length of dvd. If only short and under 10Meg in filesize then you probably will be able to email it , but remember it will take sometime to download on slower internet connection.

Maybe it would be easier just to snail mail a copy of the dvd?

You'll need a ripper/converter. Lots of free ones about, such as this one.

Why aren't you sure of the length of the DVD?

Anyway, you'll need a DVD ripper, such as the one shown above, or; http://www.magicdvdripper.com/dvd-ripper.htm

You can use the utility to compress the video to MPEG1, MPEG2 or MPEG4(DivX/XviD) to make the file smaller and therefore quicker to upload.

Check your PMs for more info.
