DASPV Fund Alternative Investment

Options
Is this on the level? Had an email from Lifestyleinvestments.org saying they could do high-yield short-term investment and requested more info from their website. Info sent by email and they have telephoned me.

They claim they can get at least 20% interest on my money in 12 months. I should be getting another call from them on Monday. I haven't sent them any money yet.

Should I go ahead with the investment?

Genuine companies dont cold spam and dont make promises they cannot backup.

If you want to send your money to an unregulated company that sends emails out on par with the Viagra spams then you go ahead but be prepared to kiss goodbye to it.

    ^ wot he said.

You could try going round to their offices for a laugh. Except you can't because the post code is a fake, the building name belongs to another company in a different street, and the Google Street View shows they are not at the listed street location.

There are also half a dozen things on their web site that scream scam even at a quick glance.

Couldn't help but read. I don't think you should take things on face value. Do a bit of research and look at the people behind it.
I couldn't agree more. You have to beware of scams with flashy web sites.
I just did some reading: some good guys behind it. Robert Wildmore, Jeremy Harbour, John Whiteman. All of them have websites.
I'm sorry. Did you just say because somebody has a web site that means they are not a scammer?

I couldn't be bothered to go into any detail before as it is so blatant but let's just have a little peek shall we.
Let's look at DASPV themselves, one of the investments being pushed by these people and the title of your post.

They don't apear on the FSA's list of financial companies authorised to conduct business in the UK and indeed are not even based here. According to their (1 page!) web site they are based in Singapore here:
10 Anson Road, International Plaza, Unit 19-05, Singapore 079903

Funnily enough that happens to be the same address used by Bernstein & Zeiglier another scam operation listed on this web site. (EDIT: To be fair I now see it is another office in the same building).

I'm sure you are upset that your scam companies are being revealed as such on a site that lists high on Google search results but one of the few printable words that springs to mind is "tough".

Call me cynical, but as a newbie rushing to defend an obvious scam, you clearly have a vested interest.

There is a simple rule to follow with investments -
No FSA registration - no money!
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

And the normal rule - if it sounds too good to be true then it almost certainly is. A london phone number but office here

  • This is definitely (in my view) to filed under "Avoid like the plague" and "Do not touch with a barge pole".

They even do their marketing on the cheap by trying to get 'tenders' from people doing it from home:

    Investment Prospectus Make-Over

This is an urgent job. Turnaround required within 24 hours. This is a job for a talented Marketing professional, with solid graphic design and copy writing skills. You ability to turn a dry business document into a compelling and effective marketing and sales tool will be paramount. A investment prospectus is currently too formal it lacks any marketing punch, it needs a sales and marketing focus, in needs to be made more interesting, it needs to grab the attention of investors, in short it needs to be "sex'd up!". Deliverables required; 1. Re-vamp of the attached document to make it more attractive to its target audience of private investors, high net worth investors and entrepreneurs. 2. A management summary flyer (A4) or booklet (A5) that covers the main selling points, benefits and returns 3. Investment opportunity template 4. Case study template 5. Brand guidline Items 1 & 2 are urgent and are required within 24 hours Items 3 - 5 are less urgent and can be delivered in 2-3 days Important Notes: All deliverables are to delivered as print ready PDF All work needs to follow a common brand guideline (you can define these as they do not currently exist). Additional information to be added regarding Investment Committee (currently not included) Accountant internal - Accountant External - Solicitor - Singapore accountant – Margaret Loh, CPA international Singapore Director - Photo's of committee members Biographies of committee members I have included the following; DASPV - Current investment prospectus Example Investment opportunity template Example Investment booklet Please provide examples of previous work. This is your chance to impress! We will subsequently commision the winner bidder ongoing copy and marketing for future investment prospectus' Regards Craig

Has anyone got any further information on these characters?
The registered address for Lifestyle Investments is at odds with its postcode and it looks rather dodgy, check out 21 Caroline Street
    Hull
    East Yorkshire
EHU2 8DN as you say London number.
No FSA reg. Are they licensed to trade in the UK?
Marbella address does not exist either.

How does EAPP fit into this? lifestyleinvestments.org
    daspv.com
The returns offered are way too good to be true.

Has anyone had any dealings with these guys?

I am aware of someone who is selling their business to them but is not aware of the links.
    Any advice?
  • I have no knowledge of this crowd whatsoever, and would have no intention whatsoever to 'invest' in what is so clearly an unregulated punt.

Just putting on my 'creativity' hat, I suspect what they are is this. They will have heard about various 'dragon' types who have made lots of money by buying distressed companies, turning them round, doing a bit of asset stripping, and selling them on. Here, I think, we have a couple of shysters who have hidden themselves (financially) well underground in some boiler room and are looking for ignorant punters to provide them with seed capital to emulate the dragons.

In order of my expected likelihoods, they would include:

    1. The business will fail, and you will never see these people or your money again. [By far most likely]
    2. The business will succeed marginally, but after 'expenses' there will be nothing left for the punter. [A small, but reasonable chance].
    3. The business will succeed - so much so that temptation will make these people grab all the money and run [A small chance].
    4. It will succeed and pay you a good 30% return. [Infinitessimal chance].

You have it in one - the returns are too good to be true.
