Refund to credit card

I have had quite a substantial refund (over £500) from a purchase which i got a refund on, as i used my credit card the money has gone back there.

I'd quite like the money in my bank account rather than the card as credit.

How can i do this??

It seems i might need to withdraw it in cash from an ATM on my limited research and pay a fee - which is a joke - i dont charge barclaycard a fee to accept money from my bank account!!

Ask Barclaycard for a cheque when the refund arrives.

If you use internet banking you might be able to make an online payment from the credit card to the current account, I am not with Barclays so not quite sure if you can do this, I am able to do it with my building society though. :rotfl:

if the card balance will be in credit, ask for a cheque. If it isn't, then in effect it IS a cash advance, you've just gone a rather long way about it!

This has happened a few times with my HSBC Mastercard. I just phoned them. Although they tended to sound a bit suspicious about why I am in credit, they always agreed to simply transfer the credit to my HSBC current account.
