Mattress world,,, very poor service

I purchased a mattress from this online supplier who bill themselves as Britain's favourite mattress company, yeah right. The order was taken and I was given a delivery date I took time off of work, it never arrived therefore a day wasted. I phoned for an explanation and was told "oh we are out of stock would you like another brand/type or a refund", why take my order in the first place. I the ask for compensation as it cost me to take a day off, they don't want to know. What a right shower.

They should have checked stock levels before they gave you a delivery date, and it is very unprofessional if they didn't. However there can be exceptional circumstances like stock damaged, stolen, etc.. So if any of the above had happened, then they should have informed you, but they obviously didn't.
You will be lucky to get compensation, as they probably have that covered in their t&c's.0 -
