I hate UHT milk, even in coffee or tea. I just keep some extra semi-skimmed or skimmed in the freezer - let it defrost overnight, give it a shake in the morning. I find skimmed freezes a little better than semi so I'm not sure what fall-fat milk would be like.

I'm so glad someone else freezes their milk - OH moaned at me for doing it thinking I was going to poison him!!! so I now stick it right at the back of the freezer and he is non the wiser :shhh:

I've bought a frozen turkey breast in a packet from Iceland for 6-8 people. That'll do me! I always hated xmas day as my mum used to get bad tempered preparing everything. It's much better to have a fun day than make it into a chore for everyone.

Haven't worked out the rest yet but whatever is pre-prepared sounds good to me.

Last year I decided to go the whole hog with Christmas Dinner, had the MIL over!! I bought the Jamie Oliver DVD and followed it to the letter....right down to the flavoured butters!!! :j

It was the best thing ever....all prep was done before hand, he tells you when to do things on the day too...If you can get a copy of it...I'd definitely recommend it...Dinner was fantastic (even if I do say so myself!!!) and the MIL was asleep on the sofa by 4pm...PERFECT!!!! ;)

He gives you these little cards for the recipes and even a shopping list to take to Tescos(sorry Jamie....Sainsbury's is soooo last week....:rotfl: )

Anyway that's my top tip for Stress Free Christmas Dinner. :T

P.S. I forgot to mention.....a LARGE Glass of Sherry for medicinal purposes only is also recommended!!! :rotfl:

I have done Christmas in the past staying up half the night preparing fresh sprouts etc. For the last 2 years I have used Iceland frozen sprouts and carrot and turnip. No-one even noticed the difference. The only veg I wouldn't use frozen is cauli as I can tell the diference with that for some reason.
If you like to prepare early and don't want pans all over the place, cook the veg and then keep them warm by placing in pyrex dishes with a knob of butter on low in the oven. YOu can then get rid of pans.
