I've just put on the TV and I seem to have lost all my channels!!! We have an amp in the loft which connects all the TVs in the house to the amplified signal because the reception is so bad here. I have tried retuning the channels but the amplified ones have been lost on all the TVs.
Anyone any idea what may be wrong? The ariel looks OK to me. I don't have digital by the way.
Thanks very much. :T

Amplifier in the loft gone duff ?0

Check fuse in amp, try amp @ a friends house to make sure its ok, check ariel cable going into the amp, then if all else fails its your ariel, eliminate all the things you can do yourself before calling the ariel man. Oh and make sure a fuse hasnt blown in your main box that supplies your electrical sockets.

Thanks for the advice, I shall check the loft.
Greenview, I think that is the exact time that I lost 1,2,3,4 as well! I can still pick up five and some of the welsh channels but that is it. Where are you? I'm in Lancashire. Maybe a transmitter has gone down or something. Who do you contact when this happens?0 -
Some Freeview channels were off for a while yesterday from Winter Hill (software problems) and today the main analogue channels, apart from Channel 5, are down at present.
Don't retune your set - you'll only have to go through it all again when they return...:-)0 -
PS
Current work, with breaks in transmission, at Winter Hill is due to finish on October 27th. See:
