Hi ,
i have just got new forms in the post for DLA renewal as it runs out in March 11...which is fine ,
this is my first renewal ..
.i was thinking they would be like straight forward renewal type..but they seem to be the same as making a first claim... requiring all that tons of info/appointment times ect and lots photo copys ect.will be needed again..is this right ?.
.im sure i read some where, some one said just small form to do ??
do they check against old form , as i have been written off from the hospital 2years ago,as they can no longer do any thing, exhausted there means, I feel it looks like im not ill . while if they read the DLA one before, there is tons of stuff .. specialist, consultant surgeons ,pain clinic, Harley street doc's ect....panic coming on ! i did get expert help filing in the last one and looks like i will be needing help again

I believe that short forms are being trialled in some areas, but most people still have to fill out the full form. I have always had to complete the entire form for my son. Still include as much detail as you can, as I think the decision makers will look at your current claim - after all, you may have improved or worsened since you last filled in a form, so one from two or three years ago may not be accurate.0

It is VERY important that you treat this form as you did your first one - the Decision maker may not necessarily have access to your previous claim form - so simply writing " no change" or " see previous claim pack" is most likley to result in your renewal being turned down or reduced.
I know it is frustrating to ahve to start all over again - but it is vital that you give the DWP FULL and COMPREHENSIVE information regarding your care needs - remember the more fully you answer the questions the easier it is for the decision maker to make an award for you.
good Luck0
