Hi me and my partner have been together 4 years next Sat (6th Nov)
we would like to go away from Fri 5th - Sun 7th (poss even till Mon 8th depending on prices!)
Anyway im totally stuck for where to go and its being left to me as he works away and has no access to the net. So far ive come up with the following but all seem to have faults:
*London - can stay and travel cheap enough but then the added cost of car park for 3/4 days!
*Leeds - partner lives near leeds but still a £30 taxi ride away so we dont go there that often for drinks, looking like the most likely option so far but would like to see if there are any more!
*Lakes - found some really really nice hotels there but they were £200 a night!! (would want somewhere with sauna, pool etc quite luxurious there as there isnt much else to do!)
Looking to spend up to £200 for hotel, anyone got any ideas?? They would be appreciated as im tearing my hair out lol x

Not a hotel but what about a log cabin for the weekend? Me and my partner did this for my birthday in January this year and it was amazing; very romantic, wood fire, privacy, candlelit dinners (in and out) and best of all...a hottub outside on the private balcony. Nothing like a glass of wine, candles and a nice warm hottub and your lovely man! I went to a Forest Holidays cabin (google them), I'm sure if you gave them a call they may be able to offer you a really good deal. I know it's self catering but at least you can have nice, leisurely lie-ins...it is a special occasion after all!0

Hi
London - can you park on the outskirts and get the tube in? That is something we've done before and is good as you miss a lot of the traffic as well. We went to Wembley and parked on the road at Stanmore for free, there are other places you can park depending where you are heading to, I think we just googled to find the idea of doing this.
If going to London check out Lastminute.com. I lived there and when my OH came to visit I often booked things to do through that - usually BOGOF or reduced price.
Don't know about Leeds, but OH took me to York a little while ago and was really fab. We stayed in a B&B 20 mins walk from the centre and we just spent our time sightseeing, got the steam train to Whitby, and having nice food.
If you don't think there's much to do in the Lakes maybe don't bother with them. If you just want a fancy hotel you will prob find that cheaper elsewhere. However there is plenty to do depending what you like - lots of little villages to explore, and nice to go on walks. I don't know that I'd do that this time of year in case it's raining.0 -
Devon/Cornwall... just love that area!0

Hi, I'm staying here www.headlamhall.co.uk next week. I'm paying 340 for 4 nights dinner bed and breakfast with a bottle of wine on two nights and afternoon tea on 2 days. It has a spa (the main attraction for me!!)
I know its a bit above your budget but for 2 nights it would be good. Its worth hunting around for deals as it took me ages to find it.
Hope its good as I am sooooo looking forwards to it!0 -
Hi
I received an email yesterday from a lovely hotel in the lakes.
It is called the Lakeside hotel and is at the Newby Bridge end of Windermere.
The rooms are normally around £160 a night minimum but the email said rooms were available for that very weekend at £98 per night bed and breakfast.
It has a pool etc and is a lovely place.
I am on their mailing list but i am sure if you rang them and said a friend had received an email and let you know they would honour that price or jus tell them you had the email. Tel number is 015395 30001.0 -

I was going to suggest that too!
See here for a possible bargain - http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/cabins.aspx
Just seen your post re cabin for 2 - just book one for 4 people!
You could go to Cropton - North Yorks in a Silver Birch 2 bed Cabin for £222 with your own Hot Tub on the balcony for the dates you want..............or Keldy a few miles away for the same price.

This deal on Travelzoo is very cheap £29 a night with dinner and a free bar and Warwickshire is quite nice. There's also a pool and spa in the hotel too. I'm fairly tempted myself!

In fact have a snoop at the travelzoo website. There are lots of deals listed on there at the moment. There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0 -
