Bankruptcy and current accounts etc

Several years ago I had it all - credit cards, loans, mortgage ...
Then I didn't.
My bankruptcy was discharged a couple of years ago ( and I have an ever improving rating due to mobile phones and catalogs) BUT it's been impossible finding accounts, loans etc with reasonable rates and conditions.
Provident door to door loans are 177%, and their credit card is at about 30%. Nationwide refuse to provide any decent facilities more than a cashpoint card.
I am sure I'm not alone.
Does anyone have suggestions for highstreet banks which provide decent facilities for people like me. AND does anyone know of a better alternative than the Vanquish card (Provident again).

I have been discharged for two years and have just opened a Citibank Sterling Current account which includes a visa debit card. You have to earn over 20k a year to have it though.
If not the Cooperative Bank CASHMINDER account is fairly good as it comes with a visa electron card.0 -
