Newbie questions: ok say i have a sky player subscription, a 3 mobile broadband an vodafone broadband contracts would i be able to put these on a 0% purchase card while i put the cash in top instant access isa? i think sky player is paid by recurring card payments so i can easily just change the card details online to pay it on a credit card. but the contracts are on direct debit and i think they charge ₤3 handling fee on manual credit card payments if i was to cancel my direct debits. would it still be worth me paying the contracts (₤30 a month) on the card or not ? has anyone had experense paying by credit cards with these companies? did the payments show up as purchases or cash advances on your statements?

₤36 x 12 = ₤432 x 3% interest = ₤12.96
the extra ₤3 payment handling fee over 12 months would cost ₤36 so if i cancelled the direct debits and put the contracts on manual credit card payments id be out of pocket by ₤23.04
anyone correctme if im wrong here.
i suppose if i didnt stick within the 15GB usage and i was being charged more a month then it may be worth it but i never go over my limit anyway as the 10p per megabyte charge is horrendous0 -
I think you can pay by credit card without cancellling all direct debits. At least that is what I am doing with our bills, telephone, utility etc.
Once they've received the payments from your credit card, your bank won't be charged again.0
