Help needed with wireless and PSK code

Hello, I hope someone can help me as I am stuck and don't know what to do!

A few years ago we had aol broadband which came with a router (Thomson ST585v6) and when we finished with aol I kept it. Recently when the plusnet offer was on here we signed up for that instead using the old aol router and it works great but I cannot get the pre shared key to work with my laptop or my phone. My husband has had his phone for years and used to use it with the router on aol and he can connect wirelessly to the router now and use the internet but when I enter the PSK code into my phone or my laptop I get an error message saying it is an incorrect PSK code.

Why can my husband get it to work and I can't? I am sick of him boasting about his wireless access while I drape ethernet cables everywhere!!

Thank you

Heather

Thank you - How do i do that?

At the moment I am just getting a error message of a code mismatch and wondered if it was to do with changing providers?

login to the router and change the password there -- both u and your partner will then need to use the new password .

Im really sorry to be a bit stupid but how do I log into the router? It doesnt show up as an installed router as it is just plug and play so how can I get into the settings?

    Thank you

I'll let you into a little secret that you might well find lies behind your husbands wireless prowess and is used by other men the world over for similar advantages over technical equipment....

....he has posssibly read the manual..... :A

They are downloadable if the original goes missing.

    :rotfl:ROFL - My husband read a manual?:rotfl:

The code was still in his phone from when he had last used it with this router which was a couple of years ago, thats why i cant understand why the code works with his phone but it tells me it is an incorrect code - grr!
