Hi been reading the Oct thread for the last couple of weeks, please can I join for November.
I will start with a budget of £200.
And I will say thanks in advance to the people that look after the thread.I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I wouldn't feel too bad, it's very expensive, that's why I only order stuff if I've got a voucher.
We splurged & ordered bacon & cheese, things that we've been trying to cut back on as they're getting more & more expensive.
How bad do things have to be if we consider cheese a luxury item& not anything posh just bog standard mature cheddar
400g of mature cheddar is currently £1.39 at Lidl if you've got one near, with dates until 2011.
Well I've just done my first shop of November. It's not November but I'm too busy to shop until tuesday and my months always seem to start a few days early.
Vegtables from lidl: £3.23
Putting everything in a shoe box and pretending it's my posh veg box: priceless
Cheeky bottle of vermouth in the background: £2.99
Also got some branflakes to go with my freebie milk, mayo and tinned tomatoes.
£8.23 into my miniscule budget but I've got breakfast foods in for the month, enough veg for 1-2 weeks(already got bag of onions, kilo carrots and two bell peppers) and that monster 1.4kg squash will take me all month to eat :rotfl:
The only thing I should be buying this month is fruit, veg and another reduced loaf of bread from budgens.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Going out for dinner tonight but this, is under another budget this month
so that will be good. However I have NO snacks in the house
or lunch meats as I have yet to cook the huge gammon sitting in the fridge (tomorrows project) so on the way home from dins I will have to go into the supermarket to pick something up
Going to try Jamie Oliver's 30 minute chicken pie tomorrow so hope it will be nice with some mash on such a horrible day!
