Best currency rates

Hi

I am due to receive around 60,000 euros via a bank draft/cheque and am wondering how to get the best currency exchange rate. I bank with Santander, but would be willing to open another account with another bank if they offer a good rate of exchange.

I've seen brokers advertise much better rates than banks, but they require electronic transfers I believe. I don't want to do anything risky as it's not all my money, but has to be shared between other family members.

Any advice please? Thanks.

PS Not sure if this is the right place to post, so I will post in savings/investments or something too!
