Now when I want to update my site and publish it again can I just go to site and then 'put' and it will update?
Use Dreamweaver's Synchronise function: right-click on the main site folder in DW and click Synchronise, or using the menus: Site - Synchronise Sitewide. It will work out which files have changed, show a preview window and only upload those files. If you have changed files in only one folder, right-click the folder and Synchronise or Put just the files in that folder and its subfolders.
