Current Account

I am nearly 30 and i still have a card cash account for school kids because of my bad credit rating in the past, Halifax refused me and i didn't want to go anywhere else i have been with them for years. But is there anywhere that will give me a current account so i can feel normal :(

  • Try the Co-Op Cashminder account, which comes with a Visa debit card or Barclays Basic account which also comes with a Visa Debit card. Neither come with cheque books/overdraft though.

Try Natwest, if you dont qualify for their current account, they should offer you their Step account (basic account) which comes with a Visa debit card. If you only qualify for the Step account, if you run the account well (no bounced dd's payments or unauthorised overdrafts) for 6 months to a year, you can ask them to upgrade you to a current account
Debt free and staying that way!
