Hi - any help or suggestions you could offer would be greatly recieved.
I was given notice that the site I currently work on will be closing in 6 months time, and therefore sought other employment in the area.
I was interviewed, and offered a job at a new company - signed contracts and handed in my resignation. I was due to start on Monday, however have just been called tonight by the director, and informed that following a board meeting, the position is now redundant.
I'm guessing that this must be legal, but know that it is definately immora l:mad:.
Please could anyone offer any advice on my standing with redundancy payment or compensation
Many thanks

Sorry to hear the bad news, i think its just a case of hard luck on your part. Can you not go cap in hand to your previous job and try and withdraw your resignation? Good luckBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

How long had you worked at this place, why give up the redundancy from them?
