Problem with online bank payment

Hi
I paid my cc through my online bank account a couple of weeks ago, and thought everything had gone through ok. Then at the weekend i was checking my statement and i noticed the payment had come out and then gone straight back into my account. There was enough money in as i had just been paid. Luckily when i noticed this i still had time to make the payment before the due date (at least i think i've caught it just). But does anyone know why this might have happened? Is it something i've done as i've never had a problem with online payments before, or is it something i should be ringing the bank (lloyds) to question.
Thanks for any help

Maybe you put in the wrong details...but to be honest only your bank or credit card provider can tell you what went wrong...so give them a call0

Something similar happened to me when the faster payments system was playing up.
If it's a regular payment (e.g. you had already set the details up and you had used it before successfully) I'd guess a technical error was to blame.
If on the other hand it's something you had just set up, re-check the details of the payment in online banking to make sure you typed them correctly.0 -
Hi thanks for the replies. Yes it's a regular payment although ironically the last one to that card, so i guess it was a technical problem and i'll have to double check in future0
