balance transfer help needed please

Hi
I have 2 cards on which I owe credit
card1 : 4400
card2:2800
I have about 5000 available after excluding all expenses, I need guidance as to whether I pay one card fully or pay each card equally and how that would help the interest/credit score. I have tried to apply for new cards to balance transfer but have been refused.
Thanks a lot in advance

    16.9% on both
do really appreciate the quick reply
  • Hi - if I were you I would pay off the larger balance and when that shows as paid off on your crdeit report ring them up and cancel the card - they may offer you an interest free period on balance transfers if you don't cancel the card and if so transfer the balance on the other card to that one. Even if they don't with having less credit available you will probably be accepted for another credit card within the next few months (as long as not too many searches on your credit report).
