hello

im constantly trying to stick to my grocery budget each month and recently iv started buying the tesco own brand fabric softner instead of branded ones, but it just doesnt give the washing the lovely lasting smell i used to get.

any tips? what brand do you use? do your clothes smell fresh for long?

i just tend to buy the cheapest brand at the time, i have the lavender one from tesco at the moment and it smells lovely

I use the Lenor with the Febreeze in it, I thin k its the strongest smelling one.
Like you I'm big on the smell of it:D

Use my Supermarket to find it on offer & stock up:money:

i stocked up on washing powder about 5 months ago cause it was on offer, wasnt aware of the My Supermarket, so thanks for that!

Vinegar is a very good alternative to fabric conditioner, believe it or not.

I haven't used fabric conditioner for years. I believe it's clever marketing. It's not actually necessary ... is it?
When I stopped using it I could not tell the difference.

thanks for the vinegar tip :T but im looking for something cheap that will have a strong smell which will last on my washing when dry

Just tried the vinegar for the first time, have to say I was impressed.

I wasn't aware the washing powder has a scent too.

The washing seems to dry faster it smells fresh and the washer seems cleaner too.

Same here. We live in a very hard water area and I'm not convinced the softener did anything except clog my drawer. I now use soda crystals in the wash and find it does a great job with the laundry and the machine. The washing liquid I use leaves a lovely smell that lasts quite well.

I use Asda concentrated fabric conditioner - Moonflower & Ylang at £1 for 750mls. It's a lovely fragrance and with it being conc you only use a small capful - don't actually need a full cap!

Have to say that I only use it on my own clothes, bedding and towels.

Don't think that OH would appreciate that fragrance on his stuff anyway :rotfl:.

I have been converted to vinegar. Doesnt even matter which type. I just buy whatever is the greatest value.
