I know you have asked about fabric softener, but Aerial Powder gives you a long lasting smell, especially if its been outside, (I know we can't do that for much longer though)

I don't use fabric softener at all.

I much prefer to use tablets, but the loose powder smells so much better. Now & again I get myself a loose box.

I use liquid detergent- seems to work better in my cold fill machine for some reason :).
As for fabric softener- it does depend on your tastes but my faves are Comfort (blue), Tesco (blue), Tesco ('pure') and Lenor (blue) although I I have used others. There is also a lovely special long lasting Lenor (and Tesco do a similar one) but generally quite expensive. Like a lot of you I use it for scent more than anything else.
You can use essential oils (in very small amounts- google it to check exactly how much) for a scent but I have not tried it.
Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
