You can get a council tax reduction if you need a room especially for your child for physio etc. If you get higher rate mobility you can get free car tax or even a motorbillity car. If your dh goes part time he could apply for carers allowance, he would have to earn less than 100.00 per week.
My dh has recently become the carer and I am working full time for less money and we actually get more help. Wasnt an easy decision but his health was suffering due to his job. We actually are saving 40.00 per week on petrol although still need two cars.
Take a deep breathe and talk things through with your dh...Good l;uck.0 -
One thing is glaringly obvious. You cannot afford fee paying bank accounts. You should open a basic bank account that is free to run. You can still get a cheap overdraft if you need it.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Hi OP
How are you doing? Is your OH fully on board yet?"Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like its heaven on earth." - Mark Twain0 -
Hi
Reading your post it sounds like you are having some quite tough decisions to make and I feel for you. With a disabled child you have a lot to cope with already and you really dont want to be worrying about money all the time.
I think you need to research the benefits you might get if one of you gave up work completely, or took a very part time job. Have a look on https://www.entitledto.co.uk. I know some people wont like me saying that but the benefit system is designed to help people like you who have a disabled child and genuinely need a bit of financial support.
My 11 year old son was diagnosed with a chronic illness 18 mths ago and hasnt been well enough to go to school full time since. I was working 30 hours a week and was lucky enough to be able to cut this to 15 hours, working from home. We claim DLA and get extra Working Tax Credits. I would give anything to have my son healthy and be able to work full time, but for now I dont have a choice.
You really do need to get your OH on board as well, maybe he should read this thread. Good luck with it all.0 -
Having looked at your SOA I think it would be quite a good ideas for you to get ideas from a debt free charity like CCCS or CAB, do not pay for advice.Does your school have any after school clubs you could use.
Your Gas and Electricity seem very low, have you estimated for the cost of the winter months as well, if not suggest you increase these figures.0
